Our steel
Which stainless-steel grades we use, how finishes are described and where to find the exact specification of each piece.
Lemon products can use different stainless-steel grades. The exact grade for an item is shown on its product page together with its finish, decorative materials and measurements.
Finish descriptions explain whether a piece is polished steel, gold-tone plated or another stated treatment. Follow the care guidance on the product page and contact us if you need more information before purchase.
Grade and finish are two different things
The grade (for example 304 or 316L) describes the base metal. The finish describes the surface: polished steel, a gold-tone plating or another treatment. A gold-tone piece is not solid gold unless its product page says so, and a grade name on its own is not a promise about how a finished piece will behave in water, sweat or on skin.
How to read a product page
- Base material. The stated stainless-steel grade for that exact item.
- Finish. Polished steel, gold-tone plated or another named treatment.
- Decorative materials. Stones, crystal glass, enamel or other components that may need different care.
- Measurements and weight. Length, diameter, extension and weight, measured by hand.
- Care. A short, item-specific instruction for cleaning and storage.
Read our care guide for the routine we recommend, or ask us about a specific piece before you buy.
