Choosing a band ring
A band ring is defined by its width and its surface. Slim bands of 2–3 mm are comfortable all day and stack well withstacking rings; wider bands of 5–8 mm make a single statement on the index or middle finger. A polished surface is classic, a hammered or brushed surface hides small marks, and a twisted band adds texture without stones.
Size a wide band half a size larger than a slim one, because more metal sits against the finger. If you are between sizes or buying a gift, anadjustable ringis safer, and asignet ringoffers a flat face if you would like engraving. The inner diameter of each band is on its product page.
How do I know my band ring size?
Measure the inner diameter of a ring you already wear on that finger and compare it with the diameter listed on the product page. Wide bands should be about half a size larger.
Can a band ring be worn as a wedding or promise ring?
Many people wear a plain band that way. Check the width and finish on the product page and choose a size that fits at the end of the day.
Do band rings scratch?
Any polished metal shows fine marks over time; hammered and brushed surfaces hide them. Store rings apart and follow the care note on the product page.
