Choosing hoop earrings
Diameter sets the mood. 15–20 mm hoops sit close to the lobe and work every day; 25–35 mm show with hair down and frame the jaw; 40–50 mm are for evenings and open necklines. Thickness matters too: a thin wire hoop is light and delicate, a tube hoop of 3–5 mm feels bolder at the same diameter. For a very small, snug hoop with a hinge, look athuggies.
Hoops go with everything but compete with long necklaces, so pair large hoops with achokeror no necklace at all. Wear a small hoop in a second piercing above a stud, or mix a hoop and adropacross two ears for an asymmetric look. Diameter, tube thickness, weight and closure type are on each product page.
What hoop size suits me?
15–20 mm for daily wear, 25–35 mm for a visible everyday hoop, 40 mm and above for evenings. Round faces suit slightly larger hoops; long faces suit medium sizes.
How do hoops close?
Most Lemon hoops use a click closure where the post snaps into the tube, or a hinge. The closure type is listed on the product page.
Are large hoops heavy?
A thin wire hoop stays light even at 50 mm; tube hoops weigh more. The weight per pair is on the product page.
