Ear cuffs & climbers
Ear cuffs and climbers explained
An ear cuff is a small open ring that slides onto the rim or the upper edge of the ear and holds by tension; no piercing, no pain, and it comes off in a second. A climber, also called a crawler, goes into a normal lobe piercing on a post and then runs upward along the edge of the ear, so one hole gives the look of several. Both are usually worn on one ear only.
Build the ear from the bottom: a smallstudorhuggiein the lobe, the climber above it, a cuff higher on the rim. Keep the other ear to a single stud so the arrangement reads as intentional. Cuff width, climber length and which pieces need a piercing are stated on each product page.
Do ear cuffs need a piercing?
No. A cuff clips onto the edge of the ear and holds by gentle tension. Climbers do need a standard lobe piercing.
Will an ear cuff fall off?
Squeeze it gently once so it grips the rim; it should stay through a normal day. Take it off before sleeping and before pulling tight tops over your head.
Are cuffs and climbers sold singly or in pairs?
It varies by design and is stated on the product page. Many are sold as single pieces because they are worn on one ear.
