How to choose a stainless steel ring
Size first. Measure the inner diameter of a ring you already wear on the same finger, or wrap a strip of paper around the finger, mark where it overlaps and measure that length: that is the circumference, and dividing it by 3.14 gives the inner diameter. Size 6 is roughly 16.5 mm across, size 7 about 17.3 mm and size 8 about 18.1 mm; every sized ring at Lemon lists its inner diameter on the product page. Fingers swell in heat and shrink in cold, so measure at the end of a normal day. If you are buying a gift, anadjustable ringremoves the guesswork.
Then choose the role of the ring. Aband ringis the everyday piece you forget you are wearing.Stacking ringsare slim on purpose so two or three sit together on one finger or across the hand. Asignet ringhas a flat face and traditionally goes on the little finger, and astatement ringwith a larger stone or shape is worn alone so it can lead.
Lemon rings are stainless steel; whether a ring is polished steel or plated, its exact grade, stone setting and band width are on each product page. Take rings off before swimming, cleaning and hand sanitiser, and wipe them dry after washing your hands to keep the finish bright.
How do I find my ring size?
Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits the same finger and compare it with the inner diameter on the product page. If you only have a strip of paper, wrap it around the finger, measure the length and divide by 3.14 to get the diameter. Measure in the evening, when fingers are at their largest.
What if I am between two sizes?
Take the larger size: a ring that is slightly loose is easier to live with than one that pinches, and a wide band fits tighter than a thin one. For a gift, or a knuckle wider than the base of the finger, an adjustable ring is the safest choice.
Can I wear rings on several fingers?
Yes. Keep one finger bare on each hand for balance, put the statement ring on the index or middle finger and use slim stacking rings on the others. Matching tones across the hand looks tidy; mixing gold and silver is a deliberate style.
Do adjustable rings stay in place?
An adjustable band is opened or closed gently once to fit and then stays put. Avoid opening and closing it repeatedly, and do not force it past a full size.
What are the rings made of?
Lemon rings are stainless steel. The product page lists the steel grade, whether the finish is polished or plated, the band width and any stone, zirconia or enamel used in that design.
How do I keep a ring looking new?
Remove it before swimming, cleaning and applying hand sanitiser, wipe it dry after washing your hands and store it away from other rings so stones and edges do not rub.
