Choosing a cuff bracelet
A cuff is the forgiving cousin of thebangle: it is open at the back, so it slides onto the wrist from the side rather than over the hand, and the gap can be eased a few millimetres wider or narrower for a personal fit. Slim wire cuffs of 2–3 mm stack like bangles; wide cuffs of 15–30 mm are worn alone as the centre of an outfit.
Put the cuff on with the gap at the inside of the wrist, where it is least visible and most comfortable. Stack a slim cuff with a finechain braceletand atennis braceletfor contrast, or let a wide cuff stand alone. Adjust it once to fit rather than opening it every day. Width, inner size and weight are listed on each product page.
How do I put on a cuff bracelet?
Turn the gap to the inside of the wrist and slide the cuff on from the side over the narrow part of the wrist, then rotate it so the gap sits underneath.
Can I adjust the size?
Yes, gently, once: ease the ends a few millimetres apart or together until it sits comfortably. Do not bend it repeatedly.
What is the difference between a cuff and a bangle?
A cuff is open and slides on from the side; a bangle is a closed circle that goes over the hand and must be sized exactly.
