Huggie earrings
Choosing huggie earrings
A huggie is the earring you put in and forget. It closes with a hinge and a click, sits tight to the lobe so nothing catches, and stays put through the day. Take earrings out before showering, swimming or sport, as the care guide advises, unless the product page says otherwise. Because the diameter is small, huggies also suit second and third piercings, where a fullhoopwould be too big.
Choose plain huggies for a clean look, twisted or stone-set ones for a little light, or a huggie with a tiny dangling charm that gives the movement of adropin miniature. Two huggies in different sizes in the same ear is an easy curated look; add astudin the highest hole. Inner diameter, tube thickness and closure are on each product page.
What is the difference between huggies and hoops?
Huggies are small, thicker hoops with a hinge that close around the lobe. Hoops are larger, open circles that hang below it.
What size huggie do I need?
8–10 mm for a snug fit on a normal lobe or a second piercing; 12–14 mm if you prefer a little space. The inner diameter is listed on the product page.
Can I wear huggies all the time?
They are designed to stay in: the hinge holds securely and nothing dangles. Follow the care note on the product page, and take them out before showering, swimming or sport unless that note says otherwise.
