Layered anklets

Choosing a layered anklet

A layered anklet gives the stacked look without the tangling. The strands are cut to staggered lengths and share one clasp, so they sit in order above the ankle bone and move together. A typical set mixes a plainchain, a strand with a small charm and sometimes a row of beads.

Wear a layered anklet as the only piece on bare legs; it already has the volume of two or three anklets. If you prefer to build your own layers, start with a chain anklet and add acharm ankletabout 1 cm longer. Strand lengths and the extender are on each product page.

Do the strands tangle?

Far less than separate anklets, because they share one clasp and are cut to different lengths. Fasten the clasp before storing and lay it flat.

How long should a layered anklet be?

The shortest strand should be your ankle measurement above the bone plus 1–2 cm. Strand lengths are listed on the product page.

Can I wear a layered anklet with shoes?

It sits best with sandals, mules and bare feet. With trainers, a single chain anklet is more practical.
